Exploring the Iconic Huntridge Theater + Neighborhood Late Friday Walk + Talk

We’ll kick off our tour getting a peek into the Huntridge Theater, built in 1944 after being designed by renowned architect S. Charles Lee, one of the most prolific architects of the 20th 

Century with works including the Hollywood Melrose Hotel and the Fox Theater in Beverly Hills.  The tour will then explore the Huntridge neighborhood surrounding the theater and highlighting architectural examples of Ranch and California Modern construction, uncover the ties between Las Vegas neighborhoods and national security concerns during WWII and the Cold War, and the development of Las Vegas community and everyday mid-century life “far away” from the hustle and bustle of downtown.
