A deal struck between the first mayor of Las Vegas and a Scottish investor produced one of Las Vegas’ most storied neighborhoods: the Scotch 80s. As you explore this diamond of a neighborhood tucked quietly in the heart of the city, you will be dazzled by the assortment of architectural styles from the sprawling L-shaped modern ranch homes, Colonial-revival mansions, and a variety of others spanning from early mid-century into the millennium. Walk this tree-lined oasis with us and find out how this slice of 80 acres came to be, as well as the stories of its famous residents who have included world-class comedians, famous gaming entrepreneurs, and even some (in)famous local politicians (both past and present).
